1.8 Conflict Minerals
Spirax Group is committed to responsible mineral sourcing. Our approach aligns with the OECD Due Diligence Guidance for Responsible Supply Chains of Minerals from Conflict Affected and High Risk Areas, which provides an internationally recognised framework for identifying, assessing and mitigating risks in mineral supply chains.
We identify, monitor and manage conflict minerals risks through our global supplier engagement processes. This includes collecting supplier disclosures via our supplier portal and responding to customer requests by providing Conflict Minerals Reporting Templates (CMRTs).
To strengthen transparency and improve data quality across our supply chain, we focus on increasing supplier response rates and the completeness of conflict minerals disclosures. This is supported by targeted supplier engagement, follow up on non responses, and corrective actions where risks are identified. Conflict minerals requirements are also embedded into our wider supplier expectations.
Spirax Group does not purchase tin, tantalum, tungsten or gold (3TG) directly from smelters or refiners and has no direct contractual relationships with them.
We also engage with industry initiatives and external partners, including programmes associated with the Responsible Business Alliance (RBA) and the Responsible Minerals Initiative (RMI), to promote best practice and encourage the use of responsibly sourced minerals and conformant smelters. Through these actions, we aim to support continuous improvement and responsible mineral sourcing throughout our supply chain.

2.2 Inclusion and Diversity
2.2.1 Gender-neutral parental leave
We’re ensuring the best start for new families by giving every colleague who becomes a parent a minimum of 16 weeks paid parental leave. Our minimum standard of 16-weeks paid gender-neutral parental leave applies to all colleagues from day one of being part of our Group (regardless of gender, sexual orientation or how they start their family). At the end of their leave, colleagues can return to work at 80% of pre-leave hours for 100% of pre-leave pay for six months too.
2.2.2 Caregiver leave
We’re helping every colleague who is a caregiver to support their loved ones (whether that’s children, vulnerable adults, family members or friends with a disability or health condition, or someone else) or take time for self-care with up to 15 days of paid ‘caregiver leave’ every year. It can cover planned caregiving duties (such as taking a dependent to a medical appointment) or unexpected or emergency situations. It can also be used for urgent self-care related to being a caregiver – such as when caregiving responsibilities mean you need to take time out to arrange or attend professional mental health support.
2.2.3 Pregnancy loss support
We’re supporting every colleague who experiences pregnancy loss of any kind with a minimum of 10 days of paid additional leave and paid time off for related appointments. Our commitment applies to all colleagues who experience a pregnancy loss, whatever the nature of that loss, regardless of their length of service and whether it happens directly to them, to their partner or to someone who is acting as a surrogate (in countries where surrogacy is legal).
2.2.4 Help with domestic violence or abuse
We’re standing up for colleagues who experience domestic violence or abuse with a minimum of 10 days of paid ‘safe leave’ to get the support they need at the time they need it – and a zero tolerance approach for abusers that also seeks to identify support to help them change their behaviour.
2.2.5 LGBTQ+ inclusion
We will be a safe place for all lesbian, gay, bi, trans and queer or questioning (LGBTQ+) people, wherever we operate – committing to the United Nations LGBTI Standards of Conduct for Business and becoming an increasingly vocal advocate for LGBTQ+ inclusion. This includes colleagues, customers, communities and everyone we work with, because no-one should ever have to fear discrimination, harassment or bullying for who they are, who they love, how they look, or how they express their gender identity.
2.2.6 Menopause and menstrual health
We’re creating menopause-friendly workplaces through new global principles to ensure anyone experiencing menopause feels safe and is treated fairly, respected and appropriately supported.
2.2.7 Wellbeing and mental health
We’re proactively promoting better wellbeing and mental health – having signed the Global Business Collaboration’s Pledge for Better Workplace Mental Health and supporting all colleagues through our global Employee Assistance Programme. It provides free, confidential advice and support for colleagues and their dependants – all year round and in their local language (for everyday matters and for when things become more challenging). Our colleague networks run global events to support positive wellbeing and mental health.
2.2.8 Hybrid working
We believe that hybrid working (the agile combination of working in shared workplaces and away from these) benefits our colleagues and our business. It offers flexibility that means more of us can balance different aspects of life with work, which opens up opportunities for even more of us. We know not every role can work in this way, but we’re seeking to enable hybrid working wherever we can. To help, we created a hybrid working toolkit and global principles to guide us.
2.2.9 Valuing our diversity
We’re becoming an increasingly gender-balanced, ethnically diverse, disability confident and faith-aware employer – supporting our commitment to initiatives including the United Nations Women’s Empowerment Principles, Change the Race Ratio campaign and Race at Work Charter.
2.2.10 Championing inclusion
Across Spirax Group, we want to have a truly inclusive and equitable working culture – where we attract, develop and retain great colleagues from all backgrounds and where we support everyone to be their best. When we do this, we’re more successful as individuals, as teams and as a business.
We believe that diverse teams bring a great diversity of thought, skills, experience and perspectives to our Group. That diversity means we’re more innovative and more creative, and it helps ensure our continued business success in an ever-changing world. It means we continue to grow and it creates more opportunities for everyone - our difference is our strength.
2.3 Pay and Remuneration
2.3.1 Pay Gaps
A full breakdown of Spirax Group’s UK pay gaps can be found in the most recent Spirax Group UK Gender Pay Gap Report (April 2026).
2.3.2 Group CEO Pay Ratio
The table below shows the ratio of the Group CEO’s single figure of total remuneration to the 25th, 50th and 75th percentile total remuneration of the Group’s full-time equivalent UK colleagues. Option B has been chosen for these calculations as the data used is consistent with that collected to inform the Group’s UK gender pay gap.
2.4 Health and Safety
The Group H&S Excellence Framework is Spirax Group’s structured global system for managing health and safety risk and driving continuous improvement. It defines a consistent maturity model across operating companies, with progression through Foundation, Bronze and Silver levels based on the implementation of specified risk controls, governance, assurance processes and cultural enablers across core H&S themes (including leadership, risk management, contractor control, machinery safety and wellbeing). Reported percentages represent the proportion of operating companies that have fully met the defined requirements for each maturity level at year‑end.
2.5 Human Rights
Spirax Group’s Human Rights Policy is publicly accessible at: Spirax Group Human Rights Policy (April 2025)
This policy applies to all Spirax Group operations, including wholly or majority owned subsidiaries and associated companies where Spirax Group has management control.
2.6 Modern Slavery
Spirax Group’s most recent Modern Slavery Statement is publicly accessible at: Spirax Group Modern Slavery Statement (May 2025)
Spirax Group works to monitor our business partners, suppliers and operations as a whole to ensure human rights are respected throughout the company.
2.7 Whistleblowing Policy
Spirax Group’s Whistleblowing Policy is publicly accessible at: Spirax Group Whistleblowing Policy (January 2020)
This policy encourages employees to report suspected wrongdoing as soon as possible, in the knowledge that their concerns will be taken seriously and investigated as appropriate, and that their confidentiality will be respected.
2.8 Sustainability Policy
Spirax Group’s Sustainability Policy is publicly accessible at: Spirax Group Sustainability Policy (2023)
This policy applies to all Group Functions, Operating Companies and colleagues of Spirax Group. While these standards and commitments guide our own operations, we also encourage suppliers and partners to abide by the standards outlined in this policy.
